JOHN; JOHN McLEAN and wife, MARGARET; JAMES S. BAXTER, JAMES BETHUNE, B. 
McKENZIE and wife, ABIGAIL

Petition for Sale of land

In this case it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that DANIEL CURRIE; 
HUGH CURRIE; ANGUS CURRIE; LAUGHLIN CURRIE; HUGH CURRIE, son of JOHN; JOHN 
McLEAN and wife, MARGARET; JAMES S. BAXTER, JAMES BETTUNE, reside beyond the 
limits of this State it is therefore ordered by the Court that publication be 
made for six successive weeks in the North Carolina Argus, a newspaper 
published at Fayetteville, notifying the non-residents to be and appear at our 
next Court of Equity to be held for the County of Richmond at the Court House 
in Rockingham on the third Monday in March next. Then and there to plead, 
answer or demur to this petition filed. Otherwise, judgment will be taken pro 
confesso and the matter heard ex parte as to them. Witness JOHN W. LEAK, Clerk 
of the said Court at office on the third Monday in September, 1856.
