STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA   COURT OF PLEAS & QUARTER SESSIONS    RICHMOND COUNTY
April Term, 1829

DANIEL McGILL
    vs.
ARCHIBALD McGILL ET AL

Petition for Partition

In this case it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that DAVID McGILL, 
tenant in coom of the lands of JOHN McGILL, deceased, ARCHIBALD McGILL, 
MARGARET McGILL and JOHN FERGUSON in right of his wife, FLORA, and other 
brothers and sisters of the said deceased are heirs surviving and next of kin 
reside beyond the limits of this State. It is therefore ordered by the Court 
that publication be made for six successive weeks in the North Carolina 
Journal notifying said non-residents to be and appear at our next Court of 
Pleas & Quarter Sessions to be held for the County of Richmond on the third 
Monday in July next then and there to show cause, if any they have, why a 
division of said land should not be ordered according to the prayers of the 
Petitioner. Witness MARTIN D. CRAWFORD, Clerk of said Court at office in 
Rockingham on the 3rd Monday in April A.D. 1829.
