JAMES T. ROPER and GREEN D. TYSON, Executors of THOMAS ROPER, dec'd
                    vs. 
JOHN W. ROPER et al 

   In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that STEPHEN M. 
THOMAS, SIMEON L. ROPER, LAMINTHA ROPER, GEORGE W. ROPER, ----- HILLHOUSE and 
wife, AMANDA, JAMES E. McDONALD and wife, CHARLOTTE, E. M. CASON and wife, 
VIRGINIA, J. R. CASON and wife, ADELIA, E. A. CASON and wife CYNTHIA, JOSEPH 
G. HARRIS, MARY A. HARRIS and LAURA E. HARRIS, defendants, are not residents 
of this State. It is therefore ordered by the Court that publication be made 
for six successive weeks in the North Carolina Argus, notifying said non-
residents to be and appear at our next Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions to be 
held for the County of Richmond at the Court House in Rockingham on the 3rd 
Monday in July next. Then and there to plead, answer or demur to this petition 
filed. Otherwise judgment will be taken pro confesso and the matter heard ex 
parte as to them. Witness, LOUIS H. WEBB, Clerk of said Court at Office in 
Rockingham, on the 3rd Monday in April A. D., 1831.
