JAMES L. YATE
     vs.
MALCOM YATES et al

Petition to Sell Land

In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the 
defendants, JOHN W. YATES and wife, CATHARINE; JESSE YATES and wife, NANCY, 
and MALCOM YATES are non-residents of this State. It is therefore ordered by 
the Court that publication be made for six successive weeks in the North 
Carolina Argus, a newspaper published in the town of Fayetteville, notifying 
said non-residents to be and appear at our next Superior Court of Equity to be 
held for the County of Richmond at the Court House at Rockingham on the 3rd 
Monday in March next. Then and there to plead, answer or demur to this 
petition filed. Otherwide judgment will be taken pro confesso and the matter 
will be heard ex parte as to them. Witness JOHN W. LEAK, Clerk of the said 
Court at office in Rockingham on the 3rd Monday of September A.D. 1856.
