Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds specie to him in hand paid by the said SYL. CHUNN the recording whereof he doth hereby acknowledge have bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed, and confirmed by these presents do bargain, sell, alien and confirm unto the said SYL. CHUNN his heirs and assigns forever part of several tracts of land lying and being in the county aforesaid on the waters of Little Buffalo running from the beginning at a hickory on the north branch of said Little Buffalo running thence north ten degrees last ‘till it intersects RICHARD POWELL’s line then with it ‘till it intersects the second line of a survey of six hundred and forty acres granted to THOMAS MEGGINSON near where said lines of Bosticks Road running thence east with said 2nd line to CHARLES ROBINSON’s second line of a fifty acre tract then with said line reverse to a red or turkey oak said to be WALTER’s corner thence south with WALTER’s line to the cotton pen branch then a straight line to a stake in the old road under the hills at the corner of SIL. CHUNN’s fence thence along the edge of the low ground under the hills to a small white oak by the path leading from SYL. CHUNNS to the ford of Little River thence north and west twenty poles to a small sweet gum and two hickory on the bank of Little Buffalo then down the creek to the beginning supposed to contain two hundred and fifty acres more or less with all woods, waters, mines, minerals, tenements and appurtenances to the said SYLVESTER CHUNN for his heirs and assigns forever and the said JAMES SMITH and wife for themselves, their heirs and assigns will warrant and forever by these presents defend the land and premises unto the said SYLVESTER CHUNN his heirs and assigns forever from all person or persons claiming any right, title or interest while the said JAMES SMITH and wife have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.
