"Argus" Dec. 9, 1854 December 9, 1854 ANGUS MONROE'S GRANT LOST LOST -- somewhere between Fayetteville and Little Rockfish on the Southern Plank Road, a Grant for one hundred and sixty acres of land granted to ANGUS MONROE, by JAMES MONROE, president of the United States for his services in the War of 1812. Any person finding the same will confer a favor by leaving it at The Argus office, or sending it to me at Laurel Hill, Richmond County, N. C. The above Grant was enclosed in an envelope directed to me.
