Aug. 29, 1857, North Carolina Argus August 29, 1857 On Thurday night, the 20th inst., a band of robbers entered the house of the subscriber, in Richmond County, N. C., broke open his desk and bore off all its contents, consisting of about three hundred and fifty or four hundred dollars in Bank notes and $80 to $100 in silver. The public are cautioned against paying any note or account due or payable to me previous to this date, to any other person.
