REV. THOMAS GIBSON departed this life at his residence near Springfield, 
Richmond County, N.C., July 24, 1872, in the 67th year of his age. He was born 
April 27, 1805. His funeeral was preached on the first of October by the REV. 
MR. BLACK in the new church at Saint John's.
