Wed. March 14,  1827 North Carolina Journal
   DIED, at the residence of MR. ALEXANDER CAMPBELL, in Telfair, Ga., on the 
10th of November last, JOHN McSWEEN, in the 27th year of his age, after a 17 
or 18 days illness.
   This young man was born and raised near Rockingham, Richmond County, N. C., 
and being possessed of an amiable disposition, industrious habits, and a mind 
that soared far above medocrity, had won, and deservedly, in the highest 
degree, the esteem and regard of all who knew him. About 15 months ago, with 
an elder brother, he went to West Florida to make preparations for the removal 
of his father and family to that County; having made  the necessary 
arrangements, had started back to his native state, to his family and friends, 
when it pleased Divine Providence to intercept his return and take him to 
himself on high.
