Governor in and over the said state and in the just and full sum of five hundred pounds current money of the said state to the which payment will truly be made nee bind ourselves and each of us over each of our heirs. Execute? admonish and assign jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this 31 day of July 1783. The conditions of the above obligation is such that whereas the above named John Crouch hath the day of the date of these presents obtains licence of marriage between him and Nancy Phillips to celebrate the rights of matrimony agreeable to law and now if there by known just cause or impediment why the said marriage should not be celebrated then this obligation to be void ____ wife to remain in full force and virtue.
