First I give and bequeath the plantation on which I live containing three hundred acres more or less to my three little boys THOMAS BEASLEY, DANIEL BEASLEY, NICHOLAS GREEN BEASLEY to be equally divided amongst them but so as to give the dwelling and other improvements to NICHOLAS GREEN BEASLEY at the same time giving my beloved wife SARAH BEASLEY a life estate in the same & it is my will also that in case of the death of one of the aforesaid sons THOMAS, DANIEL, or NICHOLAS GREEN BEASLEY before he shall arrive at twenty one years of age that his portion of the aforesaid land should revert to the other two, & in case of the death of two of the aforesaid sons that it should all revert to the other heirs, & in case of the death of all three of the aforesaid sons that it should all revert to my two little daughters MARGARET & CELIA BEASLEY. item second.... It is my will that the remainder of my property counting my hogs, horses, horned cattle, cow fodder, house & kitchen furniture, farming utensils, etc should remain in the hands of my beloved wife SARAH BEASLEY for the purpose of raising and educating our children which are now under age & to educate & for her to have the sole use of this property for the purpose before mentioned so long as she lives, and at her death the property to be sold & the monies arising therefrom to be equally divided amongst my three litlle daughters BARBARA, CELIA, & MARGARET. At the same time reserving for my baby fed daughter MIRIAM one cow & calf whenever she chooses to claim the same. item third...... I have already given to my eldest children JOHN BEASLEY, JAMES BEASLEY, WILLIAM BEASLEY, ELIZABETH RACHELS, SARAH ATKINSON (ADKISON) & my other daughters MARY & REBECCA their full proportion of my estate as also my daughter DION SNEAD to whom I have given her full proportion. item fourth....... It is my will that my executors should collect all debts due to my estate & settle my just debts as far as the monies collected will go to enable my executors to settle the remainder of my just debts. It is my will that my executors should sell such portion of my perishable property as can be best spared by my little family as will enable them to settle the remainder of my debts & to give my daughter ELINOR JOHNSON ten dollars & to my grandson BRYAN SMITH that will purchase him a cow & calf or ten dollars in money to be paid to him when he arrives at age. And I hereby make & ordain my worthy friends ISAAC WILLIAMSON & JOHN R. BUIE executors of this my last will & testament, in witness whereof I the said DANIEL BEASLEY have to this my last will & testament set my hand & seal the day & year above written.
