Copy received from North Carolina State Archives. This is the last will and testament of me Mourning Pickett / widow / of the Town of Rockingham and State of North Carolina. I will and [illegible] that all my just debts, funeral expenses, and the charges of proving this will, and carrying it into effect be fully paid by my executors hereinafter named as soon as conveniently can be after my decease. I give and bequeath to my worthy friends Walter Leak of this place and William Terry of the Town of Sneedsborough & State aforesaid their heirs executors & administrators and assigns all my estate both real & personal to which I am in any manner entitled at my decease to hold the same to the said Walter & William their heirs executors & administrators. Upon trust [illegible] [illegible] that they the said Walter Leak & William Terry or the survivor of them or the heirs executors or administrators of such survivor do & shall with all convenient speed after my decease take into their custody & possession all my estate both real & personal aforesaid & when any part thereof may be in the possession of others that they sue for or otherwise (recover?) & take possession of the same. And Upon Trust that as soon as the said Trustees are in possession of my personal estate and of any part or the whole of the [illegible] or profits of my real estate, that they will apply the whole of the same to the (hole?) & [illegible] use & benefit of my loving daughter Sally Childs wife of Thomas Childs of Montgomery County. And my will is that he shall not intermeddle - therewith neither shall the same be subject or [illegible] to his [scratched-out] [illegible] debts or engagements. And the (receipt?) of the said Sally Childs [illegible] with her proper [illegible] shall be a good and sufficient discharge for as much of the (rents?) & profits of my real estate or for so much of my personal estate or the profits thereof as shall be therein acknowledged or [illegible] to be received. And Up-on Trust Also that the said Walter Leak & William Terry trustees as aforesaid will by such good & sufficient (conveyance?) or [illegible] as [illegible] shall advise convey or otherwise (assure?) all or any part of my real estate either for years, for life, or in fee simple to such person or persons as the said Sally Childs (may?) by deed or deeds duly executed or by her last will & testament or any writing purporting to be her last will & testament (executed?) And I nominate & appoint the said Walter Leak, William Terry and my loving son James Picket of the County of Richmond & State aforesaid the executors of this my last will & testament. And I hereby revoke all other & former wills by me made ratifying & confirming this only as my last will & testament.
