North Carolina } To any lawful Officer to Execute & Robeson County { return according to Law Whereas Hannah Fields Came before the undersigned a Justice of the Peace of said County and made oath that she has just cause to believe, and does believe that Charles Ivey of the said County on Friday the 15th Instant at the Said County, then and there having the custody & tuition of a Free male child of color named James Fields, did sell and deliver the said James Fields to one Elias Biggs of South Caroilina and that by reason of such sale the said James Fields has been removed beyond the limits of this state.
