D. 1856 before the Hon David F Caldwell Judge Ferdinand Nathan Durlacher a native of Germany a free white person and at the present time a resident of the County afore said appears the said Court being a Court of Record having common law Jurisdiction and a seal and clerk and the Said Ferdinand N Durlacher being duly Sworn declares upon Oath that it is bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States and to renounce for ever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign prince, pontentate, State, or Sovereignty and particularly all allegiance and fidelity to Ludwig Carolus the II Grand duc of Baden of Whom he is now a subject Whereupon it is ordered that the said declaration of the said Ferdinand N Dulacher be duly recorded by the Clerk of this Court Ferdinand Nathan Durlacher sworn to in open court before me March 25th 1856.
