           {          Upon the proceedings before


 The Justices in the cause being

Returned into Court The defendant Come into Court and

denied that he is the father of the Bastard Child as charged

in the private examination of Martha Harden and prayed that

an iSsue Should be made up under the act of aSsembly in such

Cases made and provided Whereupon the Court directed that

Such iSsue be made up to try whither the defendant John B

Campbell is the pulative father of said Bastard child as charged in

the private examination of Martha Hardin and that Said iSsue be

Transmitted to the Superior Court of this County for Trial



                                    On motion The Defendant John B
Campbell is recognized

In the sum of $200 and John Hueston – and James Humphrey

in $100 each for the appearance of Jno B Campbell at the

next Term of the Superior Court to try Said iSsue and abide

by & perform the Judgment of said Court
