The State of North Carolina
                                    Office of Judge of Probate
                                    Clerk of Superior Court
                                    Robeson County
            It appearing to my satisfaction that William
Lytch a citizen of Richmond County N. C. is insane
And that he is now confined in the Jail of Robeson
County on account of his Insanity alone and that
there is no crime alledged against him it is therefore
considered by me that he be removed from said Jail
to the Insane Asylum of North Carolina.
            The Sheriff of Robeson County and the
Superintendent of the Insane Asylum of North Carolina
and all others to whom these presents shall come
are required him aid in the execution of this order
which I am authorized and required to iSsue by
act of ASsembly in such cases made and provided
            In testimony whereof I John C. Moore Clerk of
the Superior Court of Law for Robeson County have
hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal of Office –
at Office in Lumberton March 29th 1869.
