(/) that Lewis Johnston be overseer of the road (/)oom & district of Moses 
Grantham

(/)rdered that Joseph Lee be overseer of the road that leads from said Lees to 
Henry Popes as far as Frederick Rankleys? and that he work the following hands 
to wit his own hands Willis Low Benjamin Lees hands Jesse Lee Senr? hands 
Edward Britt Amos Newton Joseph Williams and John Atkinson

Ordered that Simon Cox be overseer of the road from Frederick Rankleys to 
Henry Popes and that he work the following hands / to wit / Samuel Kennadys 
Senr and Junr hands Josiah Ivey Jacob Barnes 
hands Everet Lee Levi Cox Henry Purvis Jesse Sutton Arthur Hedgepath and 
William Maurice

(/)rdered that John Brown be overseer of the road between (/) east side of 
Shoe heal swamp and the bridge (/) red bluff banks working within the 
following bounds [description]

Deed from Silas Atkins to Elias Barnes proved by Albrittain Drake

Deed from Robert Haills Sheriff to (/) Atkins acknowledged

Deed from Robert Haills Sheriff to Elias Barnes acknowledged

Benjamin Lee appointed constable in Captain Lees district, Joseph Lee his 
security

Ordered that the hands who formerly worked the road from South Carolina line 
to the east side of the bridge on Shoe heal above Neill Littles plantation 
except those who live below said road who shall be continued on the road or 
part of a road leading from McInnis's mill to said bridge at Duncan McEacherns 
and also that the hands below a line beginning at James McLenans thence direct 
to Norman McLeods thence to John McColls including said McColl thence to the 
state line be added to the hands who formerly worked as above and that Magnus 
Henderson be overseer of the road from the state line to the east side of the 
bridge at Neill Littles - 

Ordered that Sion Alford overseer of the road work on the former road that was 
laid of[f] between Shack[?] and Blews? ferry to the state line and that he 
also work on the usual road

Ordered that Jesse Lee be overseer of the road in room of Slaughter Hill and 
that Lees hands John Rowland Esqrs hands Isham Pitman Saml Rowland Solomon 
Kersey David Rowland Wm Rogers James Grantham with the former hands work under 
Lee
