Richard Wilkinson Donald McDonald and Lewis Powell fined 16s? each for their nonattendance as jurors this term and John Hawthorn? 4s? for his nonattendance one day Ordered that the hands that were formerly ordered to work on the creek work under the following overseers from the south line to Sundays? landing John Lewis from Sundays landing to Hawthorns old field William Ashley from Hawthorns old field to meadow landing Benjamin Lewis from meadow landing to horse Bluff Joshua Hawthorn from horse bluff to Lumberton Benjamin Smith (/) that a copy of this order be sent to each overseer and and that Jacob Lee hereafter work under Benjamin Benjamin Lewis - and also that the families of the longs and the Stricklands work on the river under John Lewis John Blount and Samuel Biggs allowed thirty two shillings each for their attendance four days each as constable this term On the representation of John Dow Treasurer of the publick buildings respecting the old gaol that it appears said gaol is not in a situation to confine prisoners the court recommends the gaol be sold at publick sale giving six months credit with approved security to be removed of the publick buildings square Ordered the sheriff to summon the following as jurors for the next term, to wit Elisha Harrel Samuel Edwards Newit Pitman John Barnes Joshua Hawthorn John Little Wm Regan Wm Humphrey Angus Black Angus McGill Samuel Bridgers Wm Thompson / H Swamp / George Thenor Neil Buie Angus Gilchrist Needom Rowland Archibald McNeil Charles Powell Wright Legatt John Williams James Stevens Joseph Atkins Tarlor Aguien?
