[Deeds were always either "acknowledged in open court" or "proved by oath 
of...." and then ordered to be registered; to eliminate redundancy, these have 
been abstracted simply as "acknowledged" or "proved by...."]

Ordered that Thomas Barnes & Hugh Brown superintend the ensuing election and 
John Storm and James McNeil be clerks in conducting election

Ordered that Roderick McNair and Archibald Wilkinson be patroles in Captain 
Alfords district

Ordered that Alexander Watson and Neil McGill be patroles in Captain Campbells 
district

George Moore Esquire returned an execution with the warrant with all the 
proceedings thereon at the suit of Jacob Rhodes against Reubin Strickland for 
twenty pounds & costs levied by Robert Haills Sheriff on one hundred acres of 
land lying on the Dreans? of hog swamp adjoining the lands of Alexr Rumes 
ordered that the sheriff sell the same

Danl Smith constable returned an execution against Matthew Strickland for 
twelve shillings and costs at the suit of John McNeil seting? forth on his 
return that there was nothing to be found of the defendants in this county 
ordered that on application of the plaintiff the clerk issue an execution 
directed to the sheriff of the county where the defendant now lives

Ordered that the prison bounds in future in the town of Lumberton be known and 
established as herein directed that is to say beginning at the water opposite 
the lower line of the street above George Moores Esquire including the and 
running along that line to the publick square including the square thence up 
the main street to the further end of Robert Haills lot thence across the 
street including said Haills lot thence down said street (/) to the publick 
square thence direct to James (/) across the street that leads to Mr? Rhodes 
(/) said street to the water  

Ordered that the sheriff summon two (/)ables [constables] to attend the 
ensuing election

Court adjourned untill Court in Course
