Dec. 21, 1790 "To The honorable The General Assembly of the State of NoCarolina at Robeson, The petition of Jacob Rhodes of Robeson County Humbly Shewith, That Your petitioner did as the Second day of May 1786 purchase of Griffith John McRee, Commissioner of confiscated property for the district of Wiliming two Tracts of Land Containing 150 acres the property of Neil McFall of said County that for the said two tracts of Land Your petitioner paid to the Commissioner aforesaid the Sum of one hundred & thirty two pounds in Specie, Certificates of that he brought Such, against Mary McFall Widow of the said Neill, for the Recovery of Lands, in the Superior Court for the District of Fayetteville, when after Many delays, and Expenses to the injury of Your Petitioner,the court was tryid of determining in the said Superior Court, at their last term, when Judgement was Given in Favor of the defendant. Your petitioner having Stated the Facts as aforesaid beg ???? to refer Your Honours to the Coppy of the Records of said county of the Commissioner ?? for the purchase money of said Lands, which he hopes that the Instess?? of his petition will induce Your honors to Restore to him, or Reimburse him in the Monies Expended in said Suit of your petitioner as is duly bound will ?pay? ??
