Nonie Smith  Jas W. Smith      }
Sarah M. Smith  Neill D Smith  }   Minor Orphans
Mary C. Smith, Joseph P. Smith }
 
John W. Smith their father, being duly sworn says that the aboce named children 
of his are Orphans, Minors without Guardian, and that their estate is worth about 
$120.00 at the date of this application, and that he the said John W. Smith is 
the proper person entitled to letters of Guardianship on their estate.

            Andrew M. Mercer being duly sworn, says that he is acquainted with 
the real and personal estate belonging to the within named children of Mary J. P. 
Smith deceased, that to the best of his knowledge, information and belief, the 
value of the personal estate is about One hundred & twenty dollars; and the value 
of the rents and Profits of the real estate is about  ---   ---   --- dollars.

the said Nonie Smith, Jas W. Smith, Sarah M. Smith, Neill D. Smith, Mary C. 
Smith, Joseph P. Smith my wards wheresoever to be found, secure and improve, and 
further to manage said estate and every part thereof, for the benefit and 
advantage of said minor orphans and according to law. So help me God.
