Widow of Travis Mercer          {   Petition    }
       Vs                       {      for      }  On motion, it is ordered by 
Josephine Mercer                {    Dower      }  that a writ be iSsued to the 
the court sheriff of Robeson County 
Commending her to summona jury to allot to the petitioner her dower in the lands
of her late husband Travis Mercer, which said lands are described in her petition
according to The Act of the General ASsembly in such case made and provided.

Additional comments:  Travis Mercer was a son of Rowland Mercer, Sr. and first 
wife Ora Smith Mercer.  His wife was Sarah E. Ward, married first to Mercer, then 
second to Riley Parnell [Purnell].
