ROBESON COUNTY COURT OF PLEAS & QUARTER SESSIONS
NOV TERM 1850 [Tues Nov 26th, 1850]

Isaac Spivey &     }  Petition   }  This Cause Coming on
Wife               }  for sale   }  to be Heard upon the
Killis Phillips    }    of       }  Petition answer and
& wife             }  Slaves     }  Report of the CommiSsioners
  Vs               }             }  It is ordered by the Court
Zila Britt         }                that the Report of the CommiSsioners
be and is Hereby in all things Confirmed – It appearing to the Court that the 
proceeds of the Sale of said Slaves in the Petition mentioned as by the Report 
of the CommiSsioners amounts to the Sum of two thousand and sixty one dollars 
and Seventy five cents $2061.75/100  It is ordered by the Court that the said 
CommiSsioner proceed to Collect the Same as It becomes due – and after paying 
the Costs of This proceedings out of the funds and the further sum of one and 
a half per cent on the amount of sales which is hereby allowed to said 
CommiSsioner for making Said Sale and reports that he pay over the balance as 
follows – To Isaac Spivey in right of his wife one Tenth To Killis Phillips in 
right of his wife one Tenth To Zila Britt in her own right one tenth and to 
the Said Zila Britt Guardian of Thomas – James – Pinkney Cily  Alvin  Alfred 
and Samuel Britt minor children of Said Redding Britt decd the remaining 
Seventh Tenths.
