James Barnes          To all whom these presents Shall
    To                come greetings Know ye that
Allen Barnes          James Barnes of the State of North
                      Carolina and the County of Robeson
being in my perfect health mind and memory thanks
be to god for the same doth my free will and
accord and without give gratis or reward but for
the natural love and affection I bear unto my
well beloved Son Allen Barnes I give grant and
releas Set over and quit all manner of clain whatsoever
in me belonging one hundred and fifty acres of
Land where on I now live including my houses
lying and being in the aforesaid county of Robeson
and State aforesaid and on the South Side of Flowers
Swamp also fifty acres on the east Side of Flowers
Swamp in the same county and State aforesaid
adjoining the lands of S Stones  T Griffin and
Edward Surlys and also all my stocks consisting
of horses cattle and sheep and hogs and I do
by these presents forever quit claim for myself
my heirs executors administrators and aSsigns
all the aforesaid mentioned Land and Stocks
to him the said Allen Barnes his heirs
executors administrators and aSsigns forever
free from all manner of claim or claims
from all and every person or persons whatsoever
Lawfully claiming the Same only reserving
the use of the plantation and Stock my
life time as witneSs I have hereunto unchan
=ably Set my hand and fixed my seal this
