Robeson County, NC - J.F. Britt & wife to Enoch Lovett & wife - 1904 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA This Deed, Made this 1st Robeson County day of March , 1904, by J.F. Britt and wife Willer Britt of the County of Robeson, and the State of North Carolina, of the first part to Enoch Lovett and wife Lizie N. Lovett of the County of Robeson, and the State of North Carolina, of the second part. WITNESSED: That the said parties of the first part, in consideration of the sum of -----$240.00--------Dollars in hand paid by the said parties of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do ----------------------- hereby bargain, sell and convey unto the said parties of the second part, and to their heirs and assigns forever, the following lands in Britt's Township, Robeson County, North Carolina, bounded and described as follows, to-wit: On the west side of Ten Mile Swamp, beginning at a stake in the edge of said swamp, Lovett's corner, and runs as said line South 56 W 25.75 chs. to a stake; thence N23 W 7 1/2 chs. to a stake; then S 56 W 27 chs. to a stoke in the edge of Ten Mile Swamp; then down the edge of said swamp to the beginning, containing 20 acres, more or less. TO HAVE AND HOLD the above described lands and premises, with the appurtenances, unto the said parties of the second part, their heirs and assigns, forever. And the said parties of the first part, for them and their heirs, executioners and administrators, do covenant with the party of the second part, their heirs and assigns that they are lawfully seized in fee of the said lands, that they have good right to sell and convey the same; that they are free from all encumbrance, and that they will and their heirs, executioners and administra- tors shall warrant and defend the title to the same against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever.
