Robeson County, NC - Mickael Herren to Stephen Harden, 1815 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Volume R 1813-1818 Robeson Co., NC Deed Page number not given (from microfilm read and copied at the Ladson Genealogical Library in GA by Paul Wetherington, 10-5-2004) Transcribed by Rose Parks 201ramp@dishmail.net This indenture made this 12th September year of our Lord 1815 between Mickael Herren and Stephen Harden both of the state of North Carolina, county of Robeson Witnesseth that the said Mickael Herren for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred ten dollars to him in hand paid the receipt where of is hearby acknowledged hath given granted bargained and sold and conveyed and by these presents doth give grant bargain sell and convey unto the sd Stephen Harden a certain tract piece or parcel of land situated lying in and being in Robeson Co. aforesaid on the west side of the Indian Swamp beginning at a large pine the beginning of a 400 acre survey running due south 45 chains to a stake then due west 44 chains----- due north 45 chains then direct to the beginning including 100 acres sold to Nathan Harden and is laid off within said bounds and is not accounted any part of the above containing one hundred twenty acres, it being part of 400 acre patent granted John Sterling bearing date Oct. 23 1782 which sd. Track piece or parcel of land with all and singular I the said Mickael Herren for myself my heirs assigns do warrant and forever defend to him the sd. Stephen Harden against the lawful claims of all persons whatsoever the same peacefully to enjoy clear and free of all manner if encumbrances and the sd. Mickael Herrin doth hearby covenant and agree to and with the sd. Harden the above described land with all rights immunities, privileges and appurtances to the same belonging or on anywise incident or pertaining to himself his heirs and assigns____ _____ In witness whereof the sd. Mickael Herrin hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written Michael Herring Signed sealed and delivered in presence of James Storm, Fredrick Harden and Matthew Harden November term 1815 this deed was proved in court by oath of James Storm and ordered to be registered JM Queen?
