Robeson County, NC - Michael Herring to Isaac Bledsoe, 1814 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Volume Q 1811-1815 Robeson County NC Deeds page 384-385, (from microfilm read and copied at the Ladson Genealogical Library in GA by Paul Wetherington, 10-5-2004) Transcribed by Rose Parks 201ramp@dishmail.net State of North Carolina, County of Robeson This indenture made this 15th day of Feb. in the year of our Lord 1814 between Michael Herring of the first part and Isaac Bledsoe planter both of county and state aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth that the said Michael Herring for and in consideration of the sum of fifty pounds to him in hand paid by the sd Isaac Bledsoe at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt and payment is acknowledged to bargain sell and confirm unto the said Isaac Bledsoe his heirs executors Administrators and assigns forever a certain piece or parcel of land lying in the county of Robeson state aforesaid situated and lying and being as follows beginning at a forky pine Michael Herring and John Daniels corner then runs with the dividing line between Michael Herring and John Daniel to Isaac Bledsoe and Michael Herring corner then with the dividing line (page 385) between Isaac Bledsoe and Michael to a pine the corner between Bledsoe and Herring thence a direct line to the beginning containing 24 acres more or less it being a part of a 600 acre survey granted to William Ashley Which sd piece or parcel of land with all woods waters and water courses and every other appurentences hereunto belonging and for better insurance and greater information I the sd Michael Herring for myself my heirs and administrators assigns doth forever warrant and defend the aforesaid land and premises unto the sd Isaac Bledsoe his heirs administrators and assigns forever and that clear of all manner of encumbrances and doth hearby seal and deliver convey and release and confirms to the sd Isaac Bledsoe his heirs and everything free from all lawful claims and from every other person whoso ever claiming any part thereof in witness whereof the sd Michael Herring hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written In presence of Erick Legate and John X Daniel signed Michael Herring May term 1814 this deed was proved in open court by the oath of John Daniel and ordered to be registered.
