Robeson County, NC - Benjamin Lovett to William Lovett, 1865 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Benjamin Lovett to William Lovett State of North Carolina Robeson County This indenture made this 11th day of July One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty Five Between Benjamin Lovett of the one part and William Lovett of the other part. Witnessth I Benj. Lovette for and in consideration of the sum of Three Hundred dollars to me in hand paid do grant bargain and release unto the said William Lovett a piece or parcel of land containing 150 acres lying in the County of Robeson being a part of the Jesse Leggett tract of land containing 300 acres on the West Side of the Ten Mile Swamp bounded by the Lands of A. Lovett, Benj. Lovett & E. Cox and is to be located so as to cover the premises where the said Wm. Lovett now lives and I the said Benj. Lovett do assign and make over and warrant and forever defend unto the said William Lovett against myself heirs and assigns executors and administrators all that tract of land and I Benj. Lovett do forever defend unto said Wm. Lovett against the claims of all persons in witness of all which the said Benj. Lovett have hereunto set his hand seal. Witness R.P.
