Robeson County, NC - Benjamin Lovett to Aldridge Lovette - 1865

Benjamin Lovett             This indenture made and entered into
       to                   this 11th day of July in the year of 
Aldridge Lovett             our Lord One Thousand Eighteen Hundred 
                            and Sixty Five between Benjamin Lovett
of the one part and Aldridge Lovett of the other part all of the County 
of Robeson State of North Carolina. Witnesseth that said Benjamin 
Lovett for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and 
seventy five dollars to him in hand paid before the signing sealing 
and delivery of this deed the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged 
have granted bargained and sold and do hereby grant bargain and sell 
unto said Aldridge Lovett and his heirs a certain tract of land 
situated lying and being in the County of Robeson, located on both
sides of the Ten Mile Swamp. Beginning at a pine said Lovett's Corner 
on the West sode of Ten Mile Swamp and running thence South Sixty 
degrees West (60) thirty five (35) chains to a pine J.C. Freemans 
Corner thence South 65 degrees West along that line (60) chains, 
Thence South 25 degrees 41 chains to a pine, Chloe Lamb's Corner, 
Thence along her line South 85 degrees East 34 chains to a stake, 
thence South 22 degrees East along her other line 11 chains and 60 
links to a stake in said line, thence North about 56 degrees East 42 
chains to a stake eastward of Henry Carters house, thence North 30  
degrees West 18 chains and 26 links to the beginning. To Have and hold 
the same to the said Aldridge Lovett and to his heirs forever containing 
one hundred and fifty acres and the said Benjamin Lovett will warrant 
and defend the title to the said premises against the claims of all 
persons. In witness of all which the said Benj. Lovett have hereunto 
set his hand and

                                         forgoing Deed was this day 
proved before me by the oath and examination of J.H. Collins the 
subscribing witness thereto. Therefore let this Deed with this certificate be

registered Sept. 18th, 1885 at 2 PM.
