Robeson County, NC - Benjamin Lovett & Wife to Leneru Lovett, Sally Lovett & Reuben Lovett - 1873 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Benjamin Lovett & Wife State of North Carolina To Robeson County Leneru Lovett, Sally Lovett and Reuben Lovett This Deed Made this 1st day of Feby 1873 by Benjamin Lovett and wife Molsey Lovett of Robeson County and State of North Carolina of the first part to Leneru Lovett, Sally Lovett and Reuben Lovett of Robeson County and State aforesaid of the second part. Witnessed: That said Benjamin Lovett and wife Molsey Lovette for and in consideration of One Dollar to them in hand paid by the said parties of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, hath bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain, sell and convey to said parties of the second part, and their heirs a tract or parcel of land in Robeson County, State of North Carolina, adjoining the lands of William Lovett, Mary Cox, Gilbert Lovett, Alexander Lamb, E.J. Davis, Esther Davis & H. Cribbs, it being all that tract or parcel of land on which I now reside with this reservation, however that the said parties of the first part shall occupy use and posses the above described premises in sickness and in health during their natural lives, and the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum above mentioned and the further Consideration that the said parties of the second part do hereby promise and agree to and with the said parties of the first part to take care of them in sickness and health during their natural lives. To have and hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of Land and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to the said parties of the second part and their heirs and assigns to them and their only use and behoof. And the said parties of the first part do hereby promise, agree and covenant that they are seized of said premises in fee and have right to Convey the same in fee Simple, that the same are free from encumbrances and they will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoever. In Testimony Whereof the said Benjamin Lovett and wife Molsey Lovett hath hereunto set their Hands and Seals the day and year above written. Dick, Judge of Probate for said County, personally appeared Benjamin Lovett & his wife Molsey Lovett the grantors named in the foregoing Deed acknowledged the due execution thereof and thereupon the said Molsey Lovette wife of Benjamin Lovett being by me privately examined separate and apart from her said husband, touching her free consent to the execution of said Deed, she on xxxx her examination, declared that she executed the same freely of her own will and accord and without any force, fear, or undue influence of her said husband or any other person, and does still voluntarily assent thereto.
