Robeson County, NC - Benjamin Lovett to William Davis - 1852

Benjamin Lovett          This Indenture made this fifteenth day of
      to                 September in the year of our Lord One
William Davis            Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty Two (1852)
                         between Benjamin Lovett of the County of 
Robeson in the State of North Carolina of the one part and William
Davis of County & State aforesaid of the other part. Witnessth that
the said Benjamin Lovett for and in consideration of the sum of
Seventy Five dollars to him in hand paid by the said William Davis 
at and before sealing and delivery of these Presents this receipt
whereof he doth hereby acknowledge he hath given granted and 
bargained sold aliened released and confirmed and doth by these 
Presents give grant bargain and sell alien release and confirm 
unto the said William Davis all that tract or Parcel of land situate
lying and being in the County of Robeson on both sides of Hog Swamp 
Branch. Beginning at a stake by Two Pines, Stephen Lamb's Corner
and runs with his line N.5 W.55 Chains to his Corner. Thence S.411
E.111 chains to Lamb's Corner of 55 Acre Survey. Then with his line 
S.22 E.18 Chains & 50 links to his corner. Then with his other 
line S.72 E.20 Chains to his corner then with Lovet's line S.22 W.27 
chains to his Corner, thence direct to the beginning.
    To have and hold the said land with its appurtenances to the 
only proper use behoof and benefit of said William Davis his heirs 
and assigns forever. And the said Benjamin Lovett for himself and 
his heirs executors and administrators doth Covenant alien and agree 
to and with William Davis his heirs and assigns that he the said 
William Davis his heirs and assigns and xxx of them shall have and 
hold occupy possess and use the said Land With its appurtenances. 
Without xxxxx xxxxxx hindrance Molestation  xxxxxx from or by the 
lawful claim or claims of any person or Persons whatsoever, to 
warrant and for ever defend.
                        In Testimony whereof the said Benjamin Lovett
hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his Seal this day and year
first above written.

                             November Term 1852. Then was the 
                             execution of this deed duly proven in 
                             open Court by the oath of M.C. McNeill
