Robeson County, NC - D.W. Brown & wife to B.W. Lovett - 1912 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ State of North Carolina This Deed made this 29th day of Columbus County August A.D. 1912 by D.W. Brown & wife Mary E. Brown of Columbus County and State of North Carolina of the first part and B.W. Lovett of Robeson County and State of North Carolina of the second part. Witnessed: that the said party of the first part in consideration of Three Hundred and Twenty-five Dollars to them paid by said party of the second part the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold and by these presents bargain, sell and convey to said B.W. Lovett and his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land in Britt's Township, Robeson County, State of North Carolina adjoining the lands of Colon Britt and others and others and bounded as follows, viz: And being the same tract of land conveyed by deed from Isham Britt and wife Penelope Britt to Wade H. Britt on Sept. 4, 1896, said deed of conveyance is recorded in Book Y.Y.Y. page 414 in the Office of the Reg. Of Deeds of Robeson County North Carolina referenced to said deed is hereby made for a more complete description of said tract of land and being one half of all the land owned by the said Isham Britt and wife lying on both sides of the road leading from Ivey's Bluff on Lumber River divided by a line to run East and West through the lands of the late Isham Britt so as to divide the lands on both sides of the road and the lands conveyed in this deed and owned by the said Wade H. Britt is the land on the North side of the dividing line and is estimated to contain about fifty acres more or less. To have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to their only use and behoof forever. And the said parties of the first part covenant that they are seized of the said premises in fee and have right to convey the same in fee simple that the same is free and clear from all encumbrances and that they will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever.
