Robeson County, NC - Rueben Lovett & wife to Aldridge Lovett- 1882 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Robeson County, NC - Rueben Lovett & wife to Aldridge Lovett- 1882 Rueben Lovett & wife State of North Carolina to Robeson County Aldridge Lovett This deed made this 25th day of March 1882 by Rueben Lovett and wife Ellen Lovett of Robeson County and State of North Carolina to Aldridge Lovett of Robeson County and State of North Carolina. Witnesseth: That said Rueben Lovett and wife Ellen Lovett in consider- ation of Seventy five Dollars to them paid by Aldridge Lovett, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold and by these presents did bargain and sell and convey to said Aldridge Lovett and his heirs a tract of land in Robeson County, State of North Carolina adjoining the lands of Orrin Wilcox, Mary Cox and others bounded as follows, Viz: Beginning at a designated point in Orren Wilcox's Northern bounded and runs about North by a pond to a bay and then follows a line of bays to Mary Cox's line then South along William Lovett's line to Orren Wilcox's line. Then along Orren Wilcox's line to the beginning, containing Seventy Five Acres more or less. To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all privileges and appurtenances belonging to the said Aldridge Lovett and his heirs and assigns to their only use and behoof. And the said Rueben Lovett & wife Ellen Lovett covenant that they are seized of said premises in fee and have right to convey the same in fee simple, that the same are free from all encumbrances and that that they will warrant and defend the said title against the claims of all persons whatsoever. Townsend Clerk of the Robeson County Superior Court, do hereby certify that Reuben Lovett and Ellen Lovett his wife appeared before me this day and acknowledger the due execution of the annexed Deed of Conveyance and the said Ellen Lovett being by me privately examined separate and apart from the said husband touching her voluntary execution of the same doth state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily without fear or compulsion of her said husband or any other person and that she doth still voluntarily assent there to.
