Robeson County, NC - Benj. Lovitt & wife to Allen Lovitt, 1821 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Benj. Lovitt & wife To Allen Lovitt This indenture made this 26th day of Feb. in the year of our Lord 1821 between Benjamin Lovitt of the one part and Allen Lovitt of the other part both being inhabitants of Robeson County and state of North Carolina. Witnessed that the said Benjamin Lovitt for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty dollars & him in hand paid by the said Allen Lovitt his heirs and assigns grant a certain piece or parcel of Land situate lying and being in the County and State aforesaid and on the East side of Hog Swamp containing two hundred acres it being a Part of a Tract of Land containing three hundred acres surveyed and patented granted unto the said Simon Cox the 2nd November 1784 as will fully appear by patent. To have and to hold the aforesaid land and premises together with all ways woods and water courses and every other appurtenance thereon & belonging or in any wise appertaining and the said Benjamin Lovitt himself his heirs and executors & administrators hath hereby given and granted unto the aforesaid Allen Lovitt his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever and the aforesaid Benjamin Lovitt his heirs executors administrators shall warrant and forever defend the aforesaid land with all and every of its members and appurtenances free from the lawful claims of any person or persons whosoever unto the said Allen Lovitt his heirs and assigns forever. In Testimony the said Benjamin Lovitt hath hereunto sit his hand and affixed his seal the day and year above written.
