I am sorry to hear you are not well and I want you to get a furlough and come home and stay till you get well if you can get off/ and if you can’t come I want you to write to me. I will try to come to you for I see a great deal of uneasiness about you./ I heard from Mr. Branch yesterday and he was well and in Goldsboro. Anny sends her love and best respects and says if you have not seen no Yankees yet you must come home. Dorsey McNeill gives you his best respects and says he wants to see you bad. I want you to write to me and tell me how you are getting along and how you are satisfied.
