   Floral College, Robeson Co., Sept. 25, 1861.

   Messers.   Editors – This Ladies of Centre Church and vicinity have not been 
unmindful of the wants of our brave soldiers now in Virginia.  A large box was 
got up and dispatched to the hospital in Virginia some weeks ago; but they 
organized themselves formally for the war, to do what they may be able, on the 
10th September by the election of the following officers:

          Mrs. Dr. N. McNair, President.
          Mrs. E. Lilly, Vice President.
          Mrs. A. M. Nash, Secretary.
          Miss Mary Morrison, Treasurer.

   They have contributed and secured from others the following articales, which 
will be forwarded promptly to Richmond.
