Mustered into Company B, 50th Regiment, NC Infantry at Camp Mangum, NC on 21 Apr 1862 for a period of 3 years, or the duration of the war. Present and accounted for thru September of 1864. Phillip Walters was born 14 June 1839 in Robeson County, NC and died 29 September 1918. Phillip was the son of John Walters and Lucy J. Nance.
