Jim Dial, Indian, who lives on Sad- dletree, brought to The Robesonian office Friday a paper showing the oath of allegiance signed by Jas. Hol- combe of Robeson county Confederate soldier, when he was released from Elmira prison in June, 1865. The pa- per, which Dial found among some old papers at his home, is somewhat faded and slightly torn, but is fairly well preserved. The paper was left at The Robesonian office and may be obtain- ed by Mr. Holcombe, if he is still living or by any member of his fam- ily.
