T., } In the Field near Petersburg, Va., May 21, 1864.} Please to publish the within list for the information of the friends of the gallant ment who have fallen in the past few days. Our line of works are in sight of those of the enemy and both sides are hard at work. All quiet to-day. We have the enemy hemmed in and his only chance of escape is by water. I think the fighting here is about over. List of Casualties in the Regiment from May 17th to the 22d in skirmishing with the enemy A --- Killed: Private P Lewis.
