Troops. He was transferred to Co. "D". Calhoun's Battalion, Virginia Infantry. (Also known as the Sixth Battalion, N.C. Infantry.) On 16 September 1862 he was captured at Hanover, Pennsylvania and on 28th or 30th of June 1863 he was confined in prison at Point Lookout, Maryland. He died there 28 December 1863 of chronic diarrhea. He was buried in the Confederate Cemetery, Point Lookout, Maryland. His father was executor of his will. Additional Comments: Isaac Walters was born about 1841 in Robeson County, NC. He died Dec 28, 1863 of chronic diarrhea at Point Lookout, Maryland. Isaac was the son of Speir Walters born Robeson County, Jan 31, 1812 died Jan 1, 1873 Robeson County and Mary Ann Nichols born Oct 2. 1818 Ga and died Jan 22, 1910 Robeson County, NC.
