In the Wilmington Weekly Star, July 31 and August 7, 1891 a list of names of those veterans who attended are published. From that list, there are 11 veterans listed who served in the 51st North Carolina Troops. One of them, Pvt. Malcom Wilkerson of Company E, was from Robeson County.
