Robeson County On this 28th day of April AD 1855, personally appeared before me a Justice of the Peace in and for the County & State aforesaid Sarah Inman aged 65 years resident of Robeson County in the state aforesaid, who being duly sworn declares that she is the widow of William Bryan deceased who was a private in the Company Commanded by Capt. Cale Stephens in the regiment of Volunteers Commanded by Col. Moore in the War declared again Great Britain by the United States 18th June 1812, that her said husband William Bryan, volunteered at Whiteville in the State of N.C. on or about the 1st day of Sept 1814, for the term of Six Months, and was honorably discharged at Greenfield, NC on or about the 1st day of March 1815 as will appear by the muster rolls of said company. She futher states that she was married to the said Wm. Bryan at her residence in Columbus Co. NC, on the 6th day of May 1819 by one Jonathan Bryan, a Minister of the Gospel & that her name before her said marriage was Sarah Baldwin that her husband died at his residence in Columbus County on the 30th day of Nov, 1820. She further states that she was married to Hardy Inman at Whiteville, N. C. on the 25 day of Sept 1827 by one Wm Camp a Magistrate & that her said husband Hardy Inman died at his residence in Robeson County N. C. on the 26th day of Feby 1840, & that she is now a widow. The foregoing declaration & affidavit were sworn to & subscribed before me the day & year above written & I certify that I know the affiant to be a credible person that the claimant is the person She represents herself to be & that I have no interest in this claim. SARAH BALDWIN BRYAN REMARRIED TO HARDY INMAN ON SEP 25, 1827. THE COUPLE MIGRATED TO ROBESON CO NC WHERE HARDY DIED ON FEB 26, 1840.
