March 3, 1808, Raleigh Minerva March 3, 1808 FIFTY DOLLARS REWARD The Jail of this county was broke on the night of the 13th instant, from the outside, by some person or persons unknown and two persons let out: to wit, JAMES LEE and ISHAM PITTMAN, JR., who were committed on a charge of high- way robbery. – JAMES LEE is a person about five feet ten inches high, well- made, of light complexion and above 22 or 23 years of age.—ISHAM PITTMAN is about five feet six or seven inches high, well set, but rather knock-kneed, and of sallow complexion, he is about 35 years of age. The above reward will be given for the discovery and securing them, or $25 for either of them, and $100 will be given for the discovery and conviction of the person or persons who let them out.
