    -- We regret to learn from the Hinds County (Miss.) Gazette that COL. 
WILLIAM McNEILL, formerly of Robeson County, N. C., died at his residence near 
Bolton's Depot in that County, on the 13th inst. COL McNEILL was a prominent 
lawyer and gentleman in Robeson and had represented that County in our State 
Legislature.
