January 19, 1911 - The Robesonian 1911
Fee Bill Adopted by The Physicians of Lumberton.
     Among the items of interest crowded out of Monday's Robesonian is the 
following, which was adopted at a recent meeting of the physicians of Lumberton:
     "We the undersigned physicians of the town of Lumberton have adopted the 
following fee bill, and each of us promise to conform to it strictly:
     "Obstetrics--$10 and mileage and $1 for each hour over 6 hours detained.
     "Abortions--$10 and mileage and $1 for each hour detained.
     "Retained placentas-$5 and mileage.
     "Instrumental delivery--$15 to $20 and mileage.
     "Consultation natural--$10 to $15.
     "Consultation instrumental--$15 to $20.
     "Town calls-8 a.m. to 10 p.m., $1.50 first visit and $1 for each succeeding 
visit same day; 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. $2 for each visit.
     "Country calls-2 miles, $2; 3 miles, $2.50; 4 miles, $3; 5 miles, $3.50; 6 
miles, $4; 7 miles, $4.50; 8 miles, $5; 9 miles $5.50; 10 miles, $6.
     "Minor surgery--$1 to $15 and mileage.
     "Surgery-amputations, $5 to $25 and mileage; fractures and dislocations, $5 
to $25 and mileage.
