B. McCormac on Trial for the Murder of Thos. Smith. [Star Correspondence.] LUMBERTON N. C., Oct. 5 The Star, Wilmington: The court convened at 9 o’clock this morning. The jury in the case of the State against Henry Horn rendered a verdict of guilty of murder. The trial was commenced yesterday morning and the case was given to the jury last night at 11 o’clock. Horn killed David But- ler in September, 1888. And since that time has been at large until recently, when he surrendered. His counsel will make a motion for a new trial. The trial of John B. McCormac, charged with the murder of Thos. Smith last July, commenced this morning.
