There are two murderers in Wake county jail this morning, but they probably will 
be removed to-day and taken to Robeson county, the scene of their crime.  They 
were brought here Wednesday night by Chief of Police McIver of Carthage, Moore 
county, who had followed them to Norfolk, and there, with Deputy Sheriff Abbott 
of Norfolk, apprehended them.  He is now on the way back home with them, and only 
temporarily lodged them in jail here for safe-keeping while he communicated with 
the Robeson county authorities.  There names are Henry McLean and Lewis Gillis, 
both negroes, and on February 21st last they killed a white in Robeson county 
named McBride.
