Some ginger ale got gay at the McMillan pharmacy one day last week and gave several young men the fright of their lives. A bottle popped off without any provocation at all, and other bottles followed suit in rapid fire until it sounded like a miniature battle, glass flying everywhere. A young man who was waiting for a cold drink dashed through the door in a panic when the fusilade began; another young man, pale as the white marble fountain, fell limp against a showcase; and Mr. Eli Wishart, who was in the act of serving someone, fell prone upon the floor or got in the ice box or something; it is hard to get particulars. The boys thought that somebody was taking shots at them with a rapidfire gun and they did not have time to observe closely and cannot remember clearly just what happened.
