The Morning Star 1890
Fayetteville Observer:
A terrific thunder storm passed over the vicinity of McNatt’s last Sunday evening, 
accompanied by the most vivid lightnings.  A gentleman from this city stood on the 
platform of the depot there Monday and counted sixteen trees struck by lightning.
