The house of Mr. William Stone, who lives about three miles northwest of here, was blown to pieces, his mother killed and his wife sustaining very severe injuries. She is in the hospital now. Thence it pursued a northeast course destroying a good deal of timber till it reached the Powersville settlement, about ten miles northeast of the city, where it destroyed the residence of Mr. Hugh Musselwhite. Mr. Musselwhite and three children were badly injured, but so far no other accidents have been reported.
